Pest Control Company Launches Mosquito Control Initiative

Pest Control Company Launches Mosquito Control Initiative

Mosquito Joe is launching Mosquito Control Awareness Week - Beat the Bloodsuckers Campaign, which will help local communities control mosquito populations by doing simple, but very effective methods of housekeeping.

The program runs June 26-July 2 and will help raise awareness about mosquito control. Some of the housekeeping methods include: Unblocking drains and gutters, stop accumulation of garbage and debris, reduce standing water accumulation in outdoor containers such as flowerpots, tires, children's toys, sand boxes, and play equipment, putting screens on windows and doors, and wearing proper clothing such as long sleeves and pants.

It will also ask customers to donate blood to specified blood banks in the area.

Mosquito Joe provides bug control services to residential and commercial customers, repelling and killing outdoor pests such as mosquitoes, ticks and fleas. Technicians use organic or synthetic applications and it also provides services for special events.

Serves Huntington, Smithtown, Oyster Bay, and North Hempstead; 631-458-5810; northshoreny.mosquitojoe.com.
