NYMetroParents 2019 Cover Kids Contest Finalists Announced

NYMetroParents 2019 Cover Kids Contest Finalists Announced

More than 1,000 kids were entered in the 2019 Cover Kids Contest!

NYMetroParents is proud to announce the 10 finalists for the 2019 Cover Kids Contest, who will be photographed (decked out in clothing from Macy’s Backstage) at Sarah Merians Photography & Video Company in Midtown Manhattan later this month. More than 1,000 entries were submitted for the Cover Kids Contest by parents from all over the New York metro area for the chance to be featured on our magazine covers.

Our editors had the tough job of reviewing every entry to pick nine finalists, as the official rules indicate, “based equally upon the criteria of personality, charm, and marketability as a child cover model, as conveyed by their photo.” The 10th finalist is the Fan Favorite, the child whose picture received the most votes (699 this year!), who won a 2-night stay, plus 2 Paw Passes, at Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun, PA.

The two winners will be selected based on the photos from the photo shoot at Sarah Merians, with one winner from the older than 6 category and one winner from the 6 and younger category.  The older than 6 winner will receive a scholarship and professional photo shoot at Barbizon, and the 6 and younger winner will receive a 2-night stay, plus 2 Paw Passes, at Great Wolf Lodge.
