This year the New York Philharmonic resumed partnerships with three organizations that help local elementary through high school students in underserved communities. The first concert will include students from the All-City High School Orchestra and Concert Band. It will be held Monday, May 20 at 6:45pm at NYU’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. Free tickets will be distributed at the Skirball box office the night of. The second concert, featuring students from the Harmony Program and UpBeat NYC, will be Wednesday, May 29 at 6pm at David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center. No tickets are required for the second performance. Attendees can expect to hear works from composers such as Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and Viet Cuong. Both concerts are free to the public.

UpBeat NYC serves South Bronx children by providing free, year-round, after-school musical training in genres such as jazz, Latin, and classical. The Harmony Program brings free, year-round music lessons, both in voice and instruments, across all boroughs, except Staten Island.
