Description: Along this StoryWalk, kids in grades 1-6 and their families will learn about Molly Williams, an African American cook for NYC's Fire Company 11 in 1818, who is thought to be America's first female firefighter. The StoryWalk is based on the book entitled, ?Molly, by Golly! The Legend of Molly Williams, America's First Female Firefighter," written by Dianne Ochiltree and illustrated by Kathleen Kemly. The StoryWalk opens Sunday, February 17 at 1pm, and continues through Sunday, March 17.
